Studio

No showroom. On purpose.

I started O'Klaire Optik to do this differently. Good vision should not cost the earth — and buying online, cheap as it is, leaves a gap where the fitting, the adjustment and the quality of the vision itself ought to be. Nobody measures your face through a screen. So I take the whole case to you instead: the frames, the measuring tools and the time to do it properly, at your own table.

I have been a certified optician in New Brunswick since 2016, with over ten years in the trade before and since — manufacturing, customer service and opticianry. That range is the reason I can tell you why the last pair failed, not just sell you the next one.

How I work

Time, not turnover

A fitting is booked for forty-five minutes because that is how long it takes to do properly. There is no line behind you.

Your file, kept

Measurements, prescription and what you chose last time stay on record, so the second pair is a conversation rather than a process.

Both languages, equally

Every visit, every document and every page of this site works in French and in English. On the Peninsula that is not a feature, it is the minimum.

Service area

Where I go.

Visits at your home or your workplace, across the Acadian Peninsula and Greater Moncton, and the surrounding communities. Pop-up dates fill in the towns between.

Some days are spent driving to people, some at a pop-up in a community space. The booking page says which.
